Main Capital Partners invests in Qics

The Hague, December 14, 2021 - Software investor Main Capital Partners has acquired a majority stake in Qics. Qics is a leading provider in Professional Services Automation (PSA). With smart SaaS solutions for planning, time registration, invoicing, and business intelligence, Qics supports professional service providers and healthcare companies in their digital transformation.

Qics is the second investment from the 'Main Foundation I' fund, launched in October, aimed at promising software companies. The investment in Qics indicates confidence in both the Professional Services Automation market and Qics' approach. "The PSA software market offers various growth opportunities at both national and international levels," explains Ivo van Deudekom, Senior Investment Manager at Main. "Qics knows better than anyone which processes are essential for its customers' business models. This knowledge is fully embedded in the products and the organization. From our market research, we see many opportunities for Qics in both adjacent verticals and new geographies."

Autonomous growth and selective acquisition

Qics and Main will work together to achieve further autonomous growth within the various segments in the PSA software market. Additionally, a selective buy-and-build strategy will be implemented to strengthen the position in the broader project management market. The current management team, consisting of CCO Eddy Plasier, CTO Mark Velthuijsen, COO Jacob den Houting, and product owner Marek Vaculčiak, will remain on board and invest in Qics.

Eddy Plasier, CCO Qics: "We look forward to joining forces with Main. By combining our technical and commercial expertise with Main's knowledge and international experience, we can develop Qics into a leading software provider in the PSA market, both in the Netherlands and beyond. We see Main as a strategic partner with a good vision to achieve our ambitious growth plans and further professionalize our company."

Founded in 2000, Qics has approximately 30 employees serving over 300 customers in the Netherlands and abroad from offices in Katwijk and Slovakia. The customer base includes professional service providers in accounting (such as Lansigt Accountants and Tax Consultants and Vermetten Accountants and Advisors), consultancy (such as Verdonck, Klooster & Associates and Atriumgroep), IT (such as Wunderman Thompson Commerce and Ximedes), and in the healthcare sector (such as Vierstroom Hulp Thuis and Florein Zorg).

Three SaaS solutions are central to Qics' portfolio: QicsMilestones, QicsDashboards, and Assist Planner. QicsMilestones supports the process of planning, time registration, and invoicing for professional service providers. With QicsDashboards, Exact Online dashboards are created based on Microsoft Power BI. Assist Planner is used by organizations providing household assistance or flexible work in healthcare. Qics' software currently has 17,000 users. All products distinguish themselves through user-friendliness, efficiency, attractive design, and international scalability.
