Job Description: Security Specialist

Are you a professional with a passion for ICT and security? As a Security Specialist at Qics, you will be the protector of our software, systems, and data. With your in-depth knowledge of security principles and best practices, including expertise in ISO 27001 and NEN 7510 standards, you will play a crucial role in our growing organization.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Security Risk Assessment: You identify vulnerabilities in our software and systems through comprehensive security analyses and audits, ensuring compliance with ISO 27001 and NEN 7510 certifications.

Cloud Environment Management: You are responsible for managing and maintaining our Microsoft Azure cloud environment, ensuring the highest security standards.
Security Incident Response: In the event of security incidents, you take action. You identify the causes and implement measures to prevent future incidents.
Policy Development: Your input is essential in developing and implementing security policies and procedures within Qics, always considering applicable standards.
Security Awareness: As a safety advocate, you promote awareness of security issues and provide employees with training in security practices based on ISO 27001 and NEN 7510 standards.
Collaboration: You work closely with our development teams, consultants, and system administrators to integrate security into the software development process and infrastructure. You report directly to the Technical Director.
Research into New Threats: You stay informed about the latest security trends and technologies, continuously improving our security infrastructure.

Job Requirements

You have a minimum of HBO-level education, preferably in the field of cybersecurity, information technology, or a related field.

Excellent command of both Dutch and English, both orally and in writing, is required.
Demonstrable experience and in-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, security technologies, and best practices.
You have experience in managing and securing Microsoft Azure cloud environments.
Knowledge of compliance standards and regulations related to data security, including ISO 27001 and NEN 7510, is essential.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to proactively identify potential risks.
Personal integrity, excellent communication skills, and a customer-oriented attitude are essential qualities for this role.
Certifications in cybersecurity (e.g., CISSP, CISM) are a plus.
